Default Let us kick players [Minor Spoiler]

For whatever reasons, some players go AFK in a mission. This can at times cause the mission to fail as they can not get the player to conplete whatever objective needs to be completed.

Example: Team fights through the Dragon's lair. One player goes AFK in the 30 minute fight against Glint. Team dies, but AFK player is sitting just out of agro range of the Dragon. Now, while we have completed the mission we do not have the save point to get through to the mountains since we did not go through the portal.

Please give us the ability to kick a player from a group. While this is only one example, there are plenty of others where players are disruptive, rude, or just plain obnoxious.

To keep it from being completely abused, here are the conditions that I would put on it.

(1) Henchies can not be kicked
(2) Leader initiates kick
(3) Majority of players have to accept the kick for it to happen
(4) Kicked player is dropped to their last hub location

Please put this featyure in as there is nothing more frustrating than completing a hard mission and not being able to progress through.

Can still see the kick command being abused to kick players who have done nothing.

But this is a fairly complete idea for once. Nevertheless I select my groups carefully.

I've suggested something similar to this numerous times, the main difference being that I specifically want a button for kicking henchies. The reason for this ? Well, until something is done about fixing bugs like them running off into the sunset from the res shrine, or randomly dropping under the world mid-fight, it's endlessly frustrating to have travelled through 3 fairly harsh explorable areas to capture a skill only to have a group wipe that you can't recover from due to a stuck henchie

Stuck henchie + group wipe = unresable group, plain and simple.

Kick henchie button please

yes the kick command can be abused by players but not if every single person in party has to vote

People are too whiny about abuse, I mean, if you had a few people enter the mission then just drop because they think it is funny at a hard point, then that is abuse, but, are you going to...erase their characters. Anyone can initiate once every five minutes, can be used on anyone, half or majority rules on this, kicking the leader (they are still only human, can afk like anyone else) creates an obviously new leader like leaving a group.

How many people does it take to kick someone? Everyone other than the person you want to kick? A majority? How does it work in a group with a buch of henchies? What if the troublemaker has a friend in the group that doesn't want to kick the person? What if the group is mostly an annoying guild who decides to kick non-guild members just before the end because they want all the rewards (and imagine this happens in HoH so their guild is sure to get the Sigil)?

And how much good does it do to kick a member of the team? Do you believe that the team will find it easier short one member? Maybe if you were overpowered for the area it won't matter, but later in the game you will find that losing a teammate makes things much harder. Its still possible to come out victorious, but you might be better off going back to town to reform the group with someone else.

For stuff like this, it seems like allowing a vote to insta-kill a player would suffice. It'd kill stuck henchmen and allow a rez, and in the case where some AFK guy is the only person still alive, also simply cause the mission to fail or whatnot.

ya instant kill would be nice, but kick would break the rules of group specific missions.

auto kick a group member if he/she does not respond in 10mins

I agree there needs to be something added to deal with people who go afk for 10+ minutes and even to some extent the unruly players(people who scream and curse, don't follow any suggestions, doesn't really do anything). Also dealing with stuck henchmen would be good, it would save some time if alessa is fighting 2 mobs all by her self and keeps healing when the rest of the group is dead.

I concur.

The amount of times I've seen that idiot orion run off is starting to get on my nerves. For some reason with me it's mostly orion that does it :/

I also had the case of a player insulting the team during the mission and dancing instead of helping the other players. Not beeing able to kick 8 years player that enjoy game only by annoying other players is very frustrating...

when you leave a city, they should assign you a number. Other people can go to that number and join you. There are a couple of kinks, like death penaltys, buy you should be able to leave a city and have someone meet up with you outside.
